Degen Miller is a fourth-year student at the University of Virginia, majoring in Media Studies with minors in French and Art History. Originally from Boulder, Colorado, Degen plays forward on the UVA Women's soccer team. She was a member of the Student Athlete Leadership Academy for two years, where she engaged with nonprofits in the Charlottesville community while honing her leadership skills. Degen joined Uncut her junior year, using her passion for creativity, sports video editing, and media studies to highlight the experiences and interests of student-athletes. Now in her senior year, coming off a summer internship as a digital production assistant at NBC sports, she hopes to use her experience to develop new ideas and bring further attention to UVA’s athletes.
